Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Experienced

The gate at an industrial park in Centurion is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is an industrial park on the Centurion side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer

• Clean criminal record
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
