Access Control Officer (Grade C)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a construction yard in Klerksdorp for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a construction yard on the Klerksdorp side of North West. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols

• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
