Access Control Officer (Grade C)

Residents and staff at an industrial park in Pretoria East need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is an industrial park on the Pretoria East side of Gauteng. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
