Job Description

Short sessions, clear explanations and real progress: that's tutoring with a tutoring centre in Midrand. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a tutoring centre in Midrand. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test
Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing
Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
Write a short progress note for parents after each session
Prepare learners for control tests with short timed practice drills

What you need

Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
Own transport for home tutoring posts
Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Police clearance for work with minors
