Accounts Payable Administrator (Group Finance)

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a construction contractor in Mamelodi. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Mamelodi. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed

• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Matric with Accounting
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero

• Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper
• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
• Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
