Job Description

A public TVET college in Somerset West needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Somerset West (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings

What you need

Good report writing and record keeping
Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts

Helpful, not essential

Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications
Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
