A public high school in Epping needs a teacher who can hold a class and lift the marks. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a public high school in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Supervise break duty, sport or a cultural activity each term
• Capture marks on SA-SAMS or the school's reporting platform before deadlines
• Keep learner profiles and a tidy teacher file for subject advisers
• Plan weekly lessons against the CAPS annual teaching plan
• Use data projectors, smartboards or tablets where the school has them
• Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams

• Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase
• Clear record on the National Register for Sex Offenders and a police clearance
• You can manage a class of 35 or more without losing control
• Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)

• Honours degree in your subject or in education management
• Experience marking for the NSC or IEB

• Bring a short sample lesson to the interview; many schools ask you to teach for 15 minutes.
