After-Hours Office Cleaner – Entry Level

You'll keep a call centre floor in White River clean, stocked and fresh before the people arrive. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in White River (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift
• Run a scrubber-dryer machine on large tiled areas
• Sign the ablution checklist on the back of the door after each clean
• Refill toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers
• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave

• Grade 10 or higher
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
• Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks

• Tea service or kitchen experience
• Training on a floor polisher or scrubber machine
• Supervisory experience for team leader posts

• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules
• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured

• List each site you have cleaned (office, mall, school) and how long you stayed. Contractors want people who stick with a site.
• Arrive neat and early for the interview. It is a small test of how you will arrive for a 05:00 shift.
