Job Description

From a chair in a remote video monitoring centre in East London, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a remote video monitoring centre on the East London side of Eastern Cape. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change

Must-haves

Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
Matric
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
