Alarm Monitoring Controller (Night Shift) – Fixed-Term

From a chair in a vehicle tracking control centre in Pretoria East, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Pretoria East; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date

• Matric
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)

• Speaking more than one local language
• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
• CCTV operator short course

• Shift allowance for nights
• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
