Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a suburban residential area in Krugersdorp. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Krugersdorp, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room

What you need

SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
