Armed Escort Officer – Immediate Start

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a farming district in Roodepoort. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Roodepoort (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room

• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

• Advanced driving course
• First-aid Level 2 or 3

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances

• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
• Mention the areas you know well. Companies prefer officers who can find addresses fast without a GPS.
