Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a business park in Mossel Bay. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a business park on the Mossel Bay side of Western Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

Must-haves

Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
At least 2 years in guarding or response
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
