Job Description

When a panic button goes off in a suburban residential area in Umhlanga, you are the one who arrives first. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Umhlanga; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What you'll actually do

Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

What you need

Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Calm under pressure and physically fit
