Job Description

Quality and speed go together at this seat and interior trim plant in Epping. You'll be part of that. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a seat and interior trim plant on the Epping side of Western Cape.

What you'll actually do

  • Follow standard work sheets and quality checkpoints at every step
  • Pull the andon cord when a defect or safety issue appears
  • Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
  • Record production counts and scrap on the shift board
  • Assemble components at your station within the line cycle time
  • Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle

What you need

  • Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights
  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Good eyesight and hand coordination
  • Can follow written and visual work instructions
  • Able to stand for a full shift and do repeat tasks without losing focus

Helpful, not essential

  • Previous experience in an automotive plant
  • Basic computer skills
  • NQF 2 in Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly through merSETA
