Job Description

A public TVET college in Kempton Park needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Kempton Park-based, with most of your time spent at a public TVET college.

What your day looks like

  • Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
  • Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
  • Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
  • Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
  • Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
  • Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
  • Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners

What you need

  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
  • Good report writing and record keeping
  • Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach

On offer

  • Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
  • Paid re-registration with your SETA
  • Travel allowance or company car for site training

How to apply

  1. Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
  2. Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: certified copy of your identity document plus certified copy of your highest qualification.
  3. Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
  4. Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 10 working days.

Tips to get shortlisted

  • For TVET posts, attach your teaching qualification too, as colleges score it during shortlisting.
  • Put your assessor registration number and the SETA it sits with at the top of your CV.
