Assistant Accountant (Audit Firm Client Services)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a mid-sized manufacturing group in Epping, from journals to the management pack. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs

• Completed articles at an audit firm
• Consolidation experience across several companies
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
