Assistant Site Agent (Roads & Stormwater)

This civil engineering contractor in Burgersfort needs someone who can read the drawings and get a building out of the ground. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a civil engineering contractor in Burgersfort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Draw up snag lists and close them out before practical completion
• Coordinate subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, roofing and glazing
• Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
• Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and SANS 10400
• Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date
• Order concrete, bricks and steel on time so gangs never stand idle

• Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
• You can read architectural and structural drawings and pick up clashes
• National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
• Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
• At least 5 years on building or civil sites, 2 of them in a supervisory post

• Concrete technology short course
• Surveying skills with a total station

• Site accommodation on out-of-town projects
