Job Description

You'll keep the line running at an industrial bakery in Umlazi, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Umlazi. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

You'll need

Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
Available for rotating day and night shifts

Extra points for

Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
