Job Description

Service is busy at this casual dining restaurant in Pretoria East, so steady hands and a tidy station matter here. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Label, date and rotate stock using first-in, first-out.
Clean down your section, deep-clean the fryer and scrub the extractor filters.
Plate to the spec photo so every dish looks the same.
Run your station during service and call back every ticket from the pass.
Prep veg, sauces, marinades and portions from the daily mise en place list.
Receive deliveries, check weights and reject short-dated produce.
Cook for banquets and conference lunches of 100 to 400 guests.

Must-haves

Comfortable in heat, on your feet, for long split shifts
1 to 3 years in a busy commercial kitchen
You take instruction from the head chef without drama
Good knife skills and you can prep at speed
