Boilermaker (Mine Surface Workshop)

You'll keep machines, conveyors and shafts running at the gold mine shaft complex near Middelburg (MP). If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Middelburg (MP); early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Fault-find hydraulic, electrical and engine faults on trackless machines
• Repair and align conveyor belt drives, pulleys and idlers
• Carry out planned maintenance on loaders, drill rigs and utility vehicles
• Isolate and lock out machines under the site isolation procedure
• Maintain pumps, fans and compressors in shafts and on surface

• Willing to do standby and call-outs on a roster
• Certificate of fitness for underground or surface work
• N3 certificate or Grade 12 with maths and science
• Trade test certificate in your trade (diesel mechanic, fitter, electrician, boilermaker, instrumentation or rigger)

• SAP PM module experience
• Government Certificate of Competency studies in progress
• Flameproof equipment training for coal mines

• Artisan allowance on top of basic pay
• Housing support in the mining town
• Study assistance for engineering qualifications
• Tool allowance or company-issued toolbox

• Mention underground or flameproof experience clearly. It separates mine-ready artisans from factory artisans.
