Job Description

This gold mine shaft complex near Montague Gardens needs a trade-tested artisan who is safe, quick and thorough on breakdowns. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a gold mine shaft complex in Montague Gardens. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Maintain pumps, fans and compressors in shafts and on surface
Repair and align conveyor belt drives, pulleys and idlers
Complete job cards and work orders in SAP after each task
Fault-find hydraulic, electrical and engine faults on trackless machines
Isolate and lock out machines under the site isolation procedure
Guide and teach an artisan assistant on the job

Must-haves

At least 2 years as a qualified artisan, preferably on a mine
Able to read schematics, hydraulic circuits or wiring diagrams
Understands MHSA duties for artisans, including lockout and permits
Certificate of fitness for underground or surface work

Helpful, not essential

Experience with collision avoidance systems on TMM
Flameproof equipment training for coal mines

On offer
