Job Description

Steady 12-hour shifts at a distribution warehouse in Secunda for PSIRA-registered officers. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors

You'll need

Alert, polite and firm with the public
Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

Nice if you have

Firefighting or evacuation training
A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
