This is a floor job at a beachfront cocktail bar in Randburg where your tips follow your service. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Randburg (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.

• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans

• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Uniform supplied and laundered
