Building Maintenance Handyman (Residential Estate) – Fixed-Term

The private school in eMalahleni needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in eMalahleni. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants

• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references

• Pool and borehole pump experience
• Basic first aid certificate
• Experience with a work order system on a phone app

• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
