Building Maintenance Handyman (Residential Estate) – Experienced

The shopping centre in Welkom needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a shopping centre on the Welkom side of Free State.

• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Get quotes from outside contractors and let them in for bigger jobs

• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must

• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
