Bus Driver (Staff Transport, PrDP P)

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a mine shift transport service in Mbombela is hiring bus drivers. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Mbombela. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

• Medically fit
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
