Business Studies Lecturer (Private College) – Experienced

Stand in front of a class of adults at a corporate training academy in Mbombela and make the work make sense. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a corporate training academy on the Mbombela side of Mpumalanga. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments

• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Own transport for training at client sites
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Good report writing and record keeping

• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Travel allowance or company car for site training

• Say which unit standards or occupational qualifications you're registered for; this decides where you can be used.
