Job Description

Start in retail here: a wholesale cash-and-carry in Hammarsdale trains packers who show up and work neat. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a wholesale cash-and-carry on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
Collect trolleys from the parking lot
Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

You'll need

Polite with customers and happy to help
Able to stand and lift cases all shift
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
Grade 10 or matric

Nice if you have

Own transport for route merchandising jobs
Some till or cash-handling experience
Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
