Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for a logistics software company in Germiston. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Germiston, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

The work, day to day

Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

Must-haves

Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
