Job Description

Court runs, drafting and client consultations: a small general practice law firm in Mokopane will put you to work from week one. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Mokopane. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Prepare affidavits and notices of motion for your principal to review
Prepare trial bundles and discovery affidavits
Issue and serve documents at the magistrate's court and High Court
Draft letters of demand, summonses and particulars of claim
Appear in the magistrate's court on postponements and unopposed matters

You'll need

Clear criminal record, as required for admission
Code B driver's licence and a reliable car for court runs
Willing to work late before trials and filing deadlines
Ready to sign a practical vocational training contract registered with the LPC
LLB degree from a South African university
