Job Description

You'll design, protect and maintain electrical systems for the municipal electricity department in Lephalale. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Lephalale. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works
Set and test protection relays and keep settings records
Size cables, transformers and protection using design software
Design solar PV and battery systems and handle grid connection to NRS 097

Must-haves

At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
