Candidate Quantity Surveyor

The property development company in Bellville needs a QS who can price a tender and still defend a final account. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a property development company on the Bellville side of Western Cape.

• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities

• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work

• Travel allowance for site visits
• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Study support for an honours degree
