Job Description

Industrial cleaners are always in demand; this crew works a commercial kitchen in Cape Town CBD. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Cape Town CBD (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Foam, scrub and rinse walls, floors and conveyors with approved chemicals
Clear builders' dust, paint and cement off floors and windows after construction
Store chemicals in the locked chemical store with safety data sheets
Run a high-pressure washer on grease, oil and slurry build-up
Lock out machines before cleaning, as the safety file requires
Clean drains and grease traps in commercial kitchens

Must-haves

Respect for chemical safety and PPE
Willing to work nights and weekends when plants shut down
Physically strong for wet, heavy work
Able to pass a medical fitness check for plant work

Extra points for

A Code 8 licence to drive the crew bakkie
Experience using a high-pressure washer or carpet extractor
Pest control registration under the fumigation rules
