Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a bush lodge in eMalahleni running quietly in the background. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a bush lodge in eMalahleni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.

You'll need

Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
Grade 10 or higher
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day

Nice if you have

Basic first aid certificate
A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
Chemical handling training
