Chalet Housekeeper (Self-Catering Resort)

Every room at this conference hotel in Secunda should feel brand new, and you'll make that happen. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Secunda, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
