Clinical Coder (ICD-10) – Immediate Start

You'll keep the front of a specialist orthopaedic rooms in Polokwane organised so the doctors can focus on patients. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a specialist orthopaedic rooms on the Polokwane side of Limpopo. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Code consultations and procedures with ICD-10 and CCSA or NHRPL tariffs
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close
• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Answer the phones and send clinical questions to the right nurse or doctor
• Keep patient records locked and share them only with written consent
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation

• Sound knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical aid tariff codes
• You keep patient information private, every time
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• Matric
• At least 2 years in a medical practice, hospital or billing bureau
• Confident with Excel and email

• Bookkeeping basics or Pastel knowledge for practice accounts
• Experience with hospital case management and pre-auth
• Understanding of how HPCSA practitioner and BHF practice numbers are used on claims

• Parking on site

• Specialist rooms care about the discipline, so say if you've coded for surgeons, anaesthetists or radiologists.
