Coach Driver (Tours and Charters)

Steady shift work with a school transport operator in Mahikeng for drivers with a passenger PrDP. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Mahikeng. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

• Punctual for very early starts
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

• First-aid certificate
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Tour coach experience with charters

• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
