Cocktail Bartender

You'll look after tables at a sports bar and grill in Mossel Bay, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a sports bar and grill in Mossel Bay. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff meal on every shift
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence

• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
