Job Description

Good service at a beachfront cocktail bar in Umhlanga starts with you: friendly, quick and on top of every order. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a beachfront cocktail bar on the Umhlanga side of KwaZulu-Natal. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.

You'll need

Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
