Job Description

Passengers in Benoni trust a staff transport contractor to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

What you'll actually do

Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits

What you need

Patient and friendly with passengers
Medically fit
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Clean driving and criminal record
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
