Code 10 Bus Driver (Airport Shuttle)

You'll carry passengers safely around Brits for a school transport operator, on time and by the timetable. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Brits, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits

• Punctual for very early starts
• Medically fit
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Clean driving and criminal record

• Fluent in more than one language
• First-aid certificate
• Tour coach experience with charters

• Company uniform
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
