Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a beverage wholesaler in Hammarsdale. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a beverage wholesaler on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

What you need

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Clean driving record

Extra points for

Speaking local languages on township routes
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
