Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck)

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a frozen food distributor in Bethlehem. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Bethlehem-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen food distributor. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out

• Friendly and professional with customers
• Honest with cash and customer goods
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Speaking local languages on township routes
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Home every night
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Company-paid PrDP renewals

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
