Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a furniture retailer in Brackenfell. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Brackenfell-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer.

What you'll actually do

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

You'll need

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
Friendly and professional with customers

Helpful, not essential

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Speaking local languages on township routes
