Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Durban Central for a beverage wholesaler, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Durban Central. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

You'll need

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Friendly and professional with customers
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Honest with cash and customer goods

Extra points for

Speaking local languages on township routes
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
