Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck)

Customers across Gqeberha wait on your truck, so a frozen food distributor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a frozen food distributor on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning

• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Clean driving record

• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Code 14 licence (a step up)
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate

• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Home every night

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
