Job Description

Home every night: a building-supplies merchant in Gqeberha needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Gqeberha-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies merchant. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

Must-haves

Friendly and professional with customers
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods

Extra points for

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
