Job Description

Customers across Paarl wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Paarl. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops

You'll need

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Friendly and professional with customers
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
Crane or HIAB operator certificate

On offer
