Code 10 Driver (Beverage Distribution)

Customers across Paarl wait on your truck, so a building-supplies merchant needs someone reliable behind the wheel. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Paarl (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit

• Honest with cash and customer goods
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Clean driving record
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

• Speaking local languages on township routes
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate

• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Home every night

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
